I felt the pressure lift from my shoulders

As the new school year approaches, many families feel the pressure of buying school uniforms, PE kits, bags, and stationery. These essentials, while necessary, can create real financial strain on households already stretched to their limits.

Every year we receive requests from families struggling to give their children everything they need to start the school year with confidence, due to the ever increasing costs of school uniforms.

That’s why, for several years now, Acts 435 has run the School Uniform Appeal. Once again, the response has been incredible. Thanks to your generosity, we were able to support over 50 families this year, providing uniforms, shoes, and vital equipment.

One mum from Manchester shared:

"I did not know what I was going to do or how I was going to get the children's school uniforms. What you have done for us is amazing. When I got the call to say my request had been met I felt the pressure lift from my shoulders."

Thanks to our generous donors, children will step into school on their first day feeling proud, prepared, and equal to their classmates. Parents have told us how much of a burden has been lifted and how deeply thankful they are for the kindness shown.

Another mum shared:

"I can't express how grateful I am and what a relief it's been … This comes as an absolute blessing and I cannot express how proud I felt when I saw the smile on my son's face. My deepest thanks to everyone who helped make my son excited to go back to school!"

This year's appeal serves as a great reminder of what it means to love your neighbour and how showing kindness can have a huge impact. On behalf of Acts 435 and all those helped, we want to say a huge thank you!
