Restoring a home
A family of six from Walsall has been supported by their local church, and by Acts 435 donors, after their home was destroyed by a house fire. Their roof and loft room were destroyed, and the bedrooms were considerably damaged, in the fire. Unfortunately, their home insurance hadn't renewed as they thought it had, and they have had to find the money for the repairs themselves.

The family has had a lot of different needs over the last few weeks and the local church, which is also an Acts 435 partner have rallied round to provide practical help where they can, but there were certain items that they couldn't give, such as a wardrobe and a skip to help clear the damaged rooms.
Acts 435 has resourced the local church to provide for these practical needs, as they also support the family and demonstrate God's love through these actions.
Although their home isn't yet completely restored, they have been very grateful for the help of the church, and Acts 435 donors, and said:
"Our world has fallen apart when everything we had worked for has been lost in the fire. The fact that people are kind enough to support in this way is so uplifting that kindness still exists. Your kindnesses are keeping us going at the minute. We are so grateful that there are people who are so lovely to help us. Thank you so very much. The Church is full of such lovely people."
This example of the church in action clearly demonstrates just how a church can be resourced with Acts 435 to help, and go the extra mile, for individuals and families in their moment of crisis.
