The gift of an oven and peace of mind

Sarah* lives on her own and, due to ill health, is unable to work. She relies on her sole income of Universal Credit and is unable to afford the basics like food - turning to the Foodbank recently for help. Sarah did not have a working cooker, and couldn't afford to buy one. Her local Advocate put a request onto the Acts 435 website, which was quickly met by donors, she said:

"No way! I'm one happy woman. I'm in shock. So quick and so grateful. Lost for words. Thank you so much. There is a God."

This was the text her local Advocate, Jen, received from Sarah when she told her that the oven was ordered. Jen went on to say:

'When I told her that I wholeheartedly believe that God loves us and wants the best for us; that things like this don't just happen; she replied, "They don't just happen you're right. The proof has happened for me."

Thank you for supporting this appeal. You've not just given her the gift of an oven; you've given her the gift that she now knows God is there for her.'
