Current needs
C is a 77 year old widow who came to the UK over 20 years ago for a post-graduate course. She is no longer able to work and is not allowed to claim a pension so finding the money for her rent has been increasingly difficult. Two weeks ago her landlady locked her out of her flat and she spent a night sleeping on the street. The Migrant Centre has found her a shelter and a solicitor to help her, but she has no access to her clothes and toiletries and would be very grateful for any support.
Still £140 left to donate
Total needed £140This vulnerable 69 year old lady in poor health has been living in bed and breakfast accommodation and struggling to manage. The Migrant Centre has helped her apply for pension credit and she has now been offered a flat. She will have to move away from her friends and her local church but she is happy with the prospects of a new, more suitable home. However, it is unfurnished and she has no savings. She would be very grateful for help to buy a bed and a chair which will help her feel comfortable and settled.
