Our friend R had to leave Sudan due to the ongoing war there. He is working hard at improving his English and attends a few hours of classes provided by a charity. He has passed the first level English test and is keen to progress quickly through the next levels so that he will have the language skills to find employment when he gets refugee status. A laptop would enable him to study between lessons. Do you think you could help?

We are in touch with J who aged 21 travelled to England from Sudan via Europe to escape the escalating civil war at home. He would love a laptop to enable him to practise his English. This will enable him to make faster progress than he is currently able to by just attending the few hours of lessons he is able to register for. Improving his English is essential to ensure he can find a job and settle in a UK community when he gets refugee status. Might you be able to support him in this?
