Loftus Parish

Loftus Parish is two Church of England Parishes: St Leonard's Loftus-in-Cleveland and St Helen's Carlin How with Skinningrove, sharing one rector and holding PCC meetings jointly. Both churches are in areas of high multiple deprivation in the most north-easterly part of North Yorkshire. Whilst the majority of the congregations are elderly persons, often on restricted income, we also have both a children's choir and Sunday School at St Leonard's, and a Lego Club and outreach Messy Church in a primary school at St Helen's. We have informal links with the local Methodist congregation and provide some financial support to a local foodbank.
