St Vincent de Paul Society - St Patrick's Wapping
This is a local Conference for the St Vincent de Paul Society. We provide support to those in need in the local community. The St. Vincent de Paul Society (SVP) is an international Catholic voluntary organisation that provides direct, personalised aid to people experiencing poverty, social injustice, and homelessness. Our activities include but are not limited to: home visits and befriending, providing food and material aids, housing and homelessness services, advocacy and emergency relief.

Current needs
S is a bright postgraduate student, who has fallen into rent arrears and is facing eviction. He is only 4 months away from graduation. He has found work on a zero hour contract but limited work availability and restrictions on his student visa mean he cannot earn enough to pay the full amount owed. His family cannot help. We have raised funds to cover most of the debt and we need just a bit more to save him from homelessness, in a country where he has no family or support network.
