The society of Saint Vincent de Paul (SVP) is a national Christian charity dedicated to tackling poverty and social isolation through person to person support. Our Reading conferences provide practical help, home visits, emotional support and emergency assistance to individuals and families in need, working closely with local churches, schools and other organisations to improve lives and restore dignity.

Current needs
D has five children aged between 16 to 5. She was relocated due to domestic abuse and is starting to rebuild her life. She has moved in to an empty four bedroom. We at the St Vincent de Paul Society have supplied everything including beds, fridge freezer etc. The only item we did not have was a cooker. With five children heating food in a microwave is unsustainable. We are grateful for any donation you can give to complete D's home and allow her to cook healthier meals for her and her children.

Total needed £200T is recovering from drug addiction and domestic abuse. Currently going through a rehabilitation program run by the local council called New Hope. T is trying to get her life back and is making good progress. We have provided all the furniture she needs to turn a flat into a home. Fridge freezer, microwave beds etc. The cooker is the last item. We thank you in advance for anything you can donate. Once it is installed we will look to provide further support including cookery lessons and visits.
