Project 17
We are a small charity working with migrant families (parents and children) who are experiencing extreme poverty or homelessness, and who are not allowed to access welfare benefits due to their immigration status ('no recourse to public funds'). We provide advice and advocacy support.

Current needs
M is the sole carer of her 1 year old daughter. She does care work on a zero hours contract, but she can only work approximately 5 hours a week because of childcare. Due to her immigration status, M is not able to access benefits. M wants to empower herself by improving her computer and digital skills. Having a laptop will also help her better access online training. This will be used to obtain a pre-loved or refurbished laptop. Please help M develop her skills!
Still £200 left to donate
Total needed £200N and her husband M have 3 children under 7. The family has recently been evicted by their landlord. Most of their belongings are still there, including essential personal items and furniture. They need their things and plan to sell larger items. Everything must be collected in one visit within 14 days. This will pay for a van rental and fuel, their friends will help carry items and M will drive to their current 1 bedroom flat. Please help the family move their belongings at a difficult time!
