Safe Families - Midlands

This is a request for a busy single mum who cares for her children, one of whom is autistic and non verbal. She has recently learnt of the value of equipment that would help to settle and stimulate her child and would love for him to have a spinning chair. Also as her house needs some storage. Mum would really value a chest of drawers to store things in and bring some order to their home. Mum cannot work and is in receipt of benefits.

We've met a Mum who is struggling to manage the needs of her child who has additional needs, alongside struggling with depression and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder herself. She is unable to work currently and money is tight, her fridge freezer is broken and she would really appreciate some help with this.

At the moment, this family do not have a sofa to sit on, which can make their house feel much less like a home. A sofa would provide them with a comfortable, safe space to relax, play, read stories and simply spend time together as a family. For a mum doing everything she can to provide for her children, having somewhere comfortable to sit together would make a huge difference to their everyday lives. Mum is single parent in receipt of benefits.
