Having overcome addiction and a period of homelessness, S has finally secured a home and now has full-time custody of his 7-year-old son. It is a huge new chapter for them, but the flat has very little in it. £200 towards a cooker would give S something most of us take for granted – the ability to cook his son a hot meal in their own home and build everyday family routines together.

For S, getting the keys to his own flat has been the result of a lot of hard work. He has tackled addiction and debt and is now focused on creating a safe, settled home for his 7-year-old son, who is in his full-time care. They currently have nowhere suitable to store their clothes and belongings. £200 towards drawers and clothes rails would help turn an empty flat into a home where they can finally unpack and settle.
