K is a single mum to two toddlers and has little support apart from Children's Services. She is struggling to make ends meet as she doesn't work due to being a carer to her two young children. Mum is dependent on basic benefits and is unable to save as any extra money goes to pay her debts. K is struggling with getting clean clothes for her children, although she has a washing machine, there is no indoor or outdoor space to dry the clothes. Mum desperately needs a tumble dryer to relieve this burden.

F is a single lady who has lived in social housing for over a year without a cooker, using only a microwave. She would love to have a cooker as she enjoys cooking and baking. F is unable to work as she has a significant lung disease, is being investigated for cancer, and also has angina. F is dependent on Universal Credit and the lower rate of Personal Independent Payment, and is just able to manage her bills, but has no savings. She has no family to help her financially and would be grateful for help with a cooker.
