Moving On Durham
Moving On is an established charitable organisation, working with young people to assist with housing and homelessness issues across County Durham. Our Outreach Service (Information, Advice and Guidance) operates across a variety of locations throughout County Durham offering advice around homelessness. Moving On Housing offers temporary accommodation across County Durham to young people.

Current needs
This young person was kicked out of his family home by his mam, due to a family breakdown, and there was no room for the him in the family home so he ended up homeless and sofa surfing until he got himself a home in supported accommodation. This young person, who is eighteen years old and struggles with his mental health, has just got the keys to his new home, but is worried that he cannot afford a bed, sofa, towels, curtains and a television. This will support him to learn independence skills and enable him to live semi-independently.
