K, who is pregnant and has two young children, was homeless and in temporary accommodation. A council house became available, but it was in a bad state of repair. With no choice but to take it, it took several months for the council to repair it, and they moved in October. They have had to spend a lot of their own money and are struggling to afford everything on Universal Credit. K has managed to source a pram and a main cot, and has applied for funding for bottles and baby items, but still needs a Moses basket for downstairs.
