St. Vincent de Paul- Our Lady of Christian and St Helens

This autistic gentleman was living in secure accommodation with his wife and children. He fell victim to a Facebook landlord scam thereby losing £3k. He is due to move into permanent accommodation and has no furniture for this property. He is in receipt of Universal Credit and has no savings. You have kindly provided him with a sofa, dining table, chairs and TV. He is in need of a wardrobe to store clothes, a vacuum cleaner and saucepans for cooking family meals. We would like to offer these.

This lady was first known to us when she was a rough sleeper and we were able to support her journey towards being housed. She has now been referred by her Supporting Families Practitioner regarding concerns around her living conditions and her mental health. You have already provided a bed for which she is grateful. This lady and her two children do not have decent clothing and we would like to offer clothing to support their dignity, especially with winter on its way.

This gentleman, who was first referred to our services via probation, has now just moved into local authority supported accommodation. He was in a house of multiple occupancy (HMO) before and homeless before that. With your support we housed him for three nights in a bed and breakfast for respite before being moved into the HMO. He has very little income and no savings, plus no family to support him. We would like to support him by providing a fridge freezer for his new home.
