Our client is a 69 year old pensioner on a state pension. They receive pension credit but, with the cost of living increasing, they find replacing a faulty appliance very difficult. Our client's current fridge freezer was second hand when they bought it several years ago. The drawers are broken and it erratically over freezes and over defrosts and needs replacing. Our client can make a contribution to a replacement but has insufficient funds to buy a new one.
