N has fled domestic violence with her young child. She is now cut off from her friends and family and anybody else who might have assisted her. After some time in a hostel, N has secured a new property but it has no washing machine, and she has no savings and very little income with which to buy one. Your help would mean she could keep the family's washing clean without costly and time-consuming trips to the launderette, which she can't afford.
