K is a single parent with Universal Credit as her income, along with Personal Independence Payments to support her mental health. She is actively looking for work to be able to afford more for her home. She is a tenant of the local authority and the flooring is currently worn, and is a thin plastic/vinyl covering rather than a carpet. K can’t currently afford a carpet and help towards this would make a big difference for her and her young daughter.
