St. Vincent de Paul - St. Anselm's Church, Southall
Our St Vincent De Paul conference (branch) is based in the parish of Southall in the Borough of Ealing in London. We have 13 members, and we assist those in need who are trying to live on Universal Credit or other benefits. We also help those who do not earn enough to pay for the needs of their family or one off needs such as kitchen appliances and furniture for new flat or house dwellers who need help with this expense at the beginning of their tenancy. We can also help with bills such as gas or electric or water if the applicant can't afford to pay these, on a one off basis. Being a charity we also need donations from the public to help to continue our work among the poor and needy.

Current needs
Our client is a single mother who has two children, one attending college and the other at school. She is receiving Universal Credit and uses this to pay her monthly bills. We give her £80 every six days for food and electricity and she is in need of new clothes for herself and her children and some new bedding as well. She is looking for £300 in total and we have applied to another charity for £250 and we need another £50 to fulfil her current needs.
