J has been offered an interview for a fork lift truck driver, and has a good chance of being offered the role. He needs a refresher course due to his license expiring. He has been struggling to find permanent work due to his recent conviction, and needs some support to pay for this.

'A' spent some time in prison for dangerous driving, and as he is Jamaican born, there were issues with his immigration status, and he was not allowed to work upon his release. He has now been given the right to work in the UK, and with three small children, he is really keen to provide for his family in a construction role. Due to no training providers offering Construction Skills Certification Scheme courses, he needs to go through the process himself. This would be to cover training, two tests and the card.
