Calvert Methodist Church

M is the mother of lively twin 4 year old boys. She has been in emergency accommodation fleeing from domestic violence. They have recently been moved into a new home and are desperately in need of a washing machine and dryer, especially with the summer having passed. Unfortunately M is not able to work due to rheumatoid arthritis. With the help of a local long established machine repairer we are able to access an excellent second hand machine.

A and L are living in a small one bedroom social housing bungalow with their two young children. The only cooker they have is a small portable cooker and a plug in hot plate. With the eldest child nearing the age of 2 these are unsafe when he is in the kitchen and of course their menu is very restricted due to the lack of facilities. L is a self employed builder whose income can be very irregular.
