Walk Ministries

Walk Ministries is a charity providing second chances for men leaving prison. We support individuals facing profound disadvantage — homelessness, addiction, trauma, poor health, and long term social exclusion — to rebuild safe, stable, independent lives. Our aim is to address the causes and risks of offending and to reduce the immense dangers prison leavers face at the point of release, including overdose, suicide, and reoffending. Since 2013, we have provided supported accommodation, medically supervised detox and recovery support, counselling, and pathways into volunteering and employment. Each year we stand in the gap for up to 72 men from across the UK, offering stability, structure, and belonging at the most vulnerable point of transition. Rooted in a Christian ethos, we welcome men of all faiths or none, offering consistency, care, and community — often for the first time in their lives. As one former resident shared: “Walk has given me a purpose in life, given me my family back, and made me the man I was always supposed to be.”
