Housing Justice

L is a newly granted refugee. She has just been evicted from the Home Office hotel, and is waiting for a placement in our lodgings scheme. She has endless GP, physio and college appointments that mean she is spending all her Universal Credit allowance on travel. She has barely any money left to eat, and top up her mobile phone. She is spending all her time travelling, and could really benefit from some money for transport.

S has recently moved to his own accommodation following a period of homelessness. He has recently been awarded refugee status in the UK after fleeing his home country due to war. S is on a low income and is trying to find his feet. He had a gym membership previously but this has run out and he has no funds to continue to pay for it. S really values exercise as it keeps his spirits up and is great for his mental health. We are trying to fund a concessionary gym membership for S in his local gym.
