St. Luke's Church, Downham

K is an amazing mum to four children and two step children. During the long summer holidays K would usually receive a voucher to cover the cost of free school meals. However this is not being given this year. K budgets really well and her partner works part time however they have a lot of caring responsibilities as the children have additional needs. K is so kind hearted and helps at church whenever she can. She just needs a little help to get through the school holidays.

S is a single mum to three children. She would normally receive a supermarket voucher from the school to get through the school holiday shopping to replace the free school meals. Unfortunately this year the council won’t be getting a voucher and although she budgets really well, S will really struggle to get through the summer. S is so kind and generous she often helps other people out with their own children and is always ready to listen, she just needs a helping hand.
