Bridgeway Mission

M is an asylum seeker who arrived in our area two years ago, having left his family in Algeria. He only receives £49 per week in financial support. He has engaged with our organisation, attending different activities such as English language classes, chess club and lunch and cultural events each week. A needs help to buy clothes, as he doesn't have any, and would be very grateful for your support.

I, who is from Sudan, has been working with our organisation for one year and is sharing a house with others. He got the outcome of his asylum case one week ago and received notice from the landlord that he should leave the house on the 15th of June. I is looking for accommodation to provide bed and breakfast. He has applied for Universal Credit, but might have to wait more than a month for the benefit to come through. We need to support him to find temporary accommodation for one week until he gets his money.
