Gateway M40

M is retired and receives state pension and pension credit. He worked as a builder all his life, and he only retired because he now has poor mobility. M has been referred to Gateway from his GP as his mental health is suffering, and he told me he is very lonely. M has arrears on his gas meter, to top up his gas now he would firstly have to top up £65 to pay the arrears, M has no food and no money to buy any, he would also benefit from a heated blanket to help during the winter months. M is sixty nine and a retired builder, he is really struggling with his mental health at the minute due to leaving work and not having people around him, he told me he does not leave the house due to his poor mobility. He receives state pension and pension credit and once his bills have been paid he has very little left for large household items. The bed and mattress that M has are over 20 years old and extremely worn and uncomfortable. Please could you help M with a bed as he has nobody else!

G is fifty seven and is currently going through treatment for Leukemia whilst still working 12 hours a week as a cleaner, she also receives Universal Credit, we have supported with applying for disability benefits but this can take a while to be processed. G told me that she spends a lot of time in bed after her treatment as she is very tired. G`s bed has broken slats and the mattress has mould from where it rests against the wall. Please could you help G with a new bed to help her recovery.

Our client is thirty seven and suffers from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder due to past traumas, he also suffers with severe back pain due to Sciatica, he is unable to work and relies on basic benefits. The cooker that T has has been condemned and he cannot afford to replace it, it has been broken for some time and he has been living on sandwiches and cold food. With the winter months arriving T is desperate to be able to cook hot food. Once T pays his bills and rent he has no money left. Please can you help. Thank you!
