Noah's Ark

S is an asylum seeker who has recently been granted residency in the UK. He was severely injured in his previous country and has recently had a major operation on his back. S can't currently work and his only income is from benefits. He has now left a hotel and been granted his own property which sadly isn't carpeted. S is really worried about his heating bills as the house is really cold at the moment. We are hoping our generous Acts 435 donors will come to our rescue and help us carpet it for him.

S is a recovering alcoholic who has spent the last twelve months sleeping rough or sofa surfing. He has been clean for six months, having been in rehabilitation, and has now been fortunate enough to secure a new flat for himself. His only income is from benefits, and he has no savings or family to help him. Sadly, the flat is without carpets and it is really cold and damp at the moment. This is affecting S's mental health and he desperately doesn't want to relapse. We would love to be able to carpet his flat.

A is going through a difficult mental health stage at the moment and is fighting for access to her children. She is struggling financially, cannot work, and her only income is Universal Credit. Her property isn't carpeted and A has skin allergies that are being caused by dust mites, something that has been picked up by Social Services who are insisting carpets are down before she can have access to her children. Please can you help us pay for the fitting of free of charge carpets?

The eldest children of this family both have cystic fibrosis, with one recently being diagnosed with leukemia for the second time. Neither mum or dad can work, due to their full-time caring responsibilities, and they are struggling due to travelling back and forth to Leeds and Newcastle for treatment. The family has recently had to move to somewhere more suitable, and sadly the home is not carpeted. We can provide flooring free of charge, if some kind Acts 435 donors can help with fitting costs.
