Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.
This lady, who suffers with both physical and mental disabilities, is a carer for her nine year old autistic son, who also has various issues. Her only income is Universal Credit, her washing machine has been broken for several weeks and she is struggling to find the money to use the launderette. This lady would love a replacement washer, as she needs to use it daily. She is trying to save but can only manage £5 a week. Any help with replacing her washer would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Still £175 left to donate
Total needed £175D went debt free, through our Christians Against Poverty debt centre, a few years ago. He has been managing really well on a low income since then. D is now in need of a new lightweight upright vacuum cleaner, as he has limited mobility and needs one he can operate well. His income doesn't allow him to save and D would greatly appreciate it if you are able to help him buy a new hoover without him falling back into debt?
Still £85 left to donate
Total needed £85M is a single disabled guy who is on the road to recovery from addiction. He lives in supported accommodation and has regular appointments to attend as part of his rehabilitation. M has debts he is working with us to resolve, and we have identified that he is digitally excluded as he doesn't have a phone or any access to emails. This puts his benefits at risk, as he needs to log in regularly to accept his commitments. M is in need of a mobile phone and case to protect it from damage. Please can you help?
