Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.
G is requesting assistance to repair his mobile phone. As an asylum seeker, his device is critical for staying connected and accessing essential services. However, it has been malfunctioning, closing unexpectedly and not holding a charge properly. I believe the battery may need to be replaced. Get his phone fixed reliably again will allow G to continue communicating with authorities, accessing information and seeking support during this challenging time.

Total needed £60L has been in the UK for seven years, having come as a care student with one child, paid by her father. After five years of temporary residency working in the care sector, she is applying for permanent residency so she can train as a nurse with a student loan. L, who now has three children, has been known to us for all this time and has cared for many of our elderly parishioners. The total cost will be £3760 which she will need a loan for so we are trying to reduce this.

Total needed £150This family are asylum seekers from Afghanistan who arrived in Newcastle yesterday. They have some limited furniture and beds, but no toaster and, crucially, no television for the children to watch. Their carpets are very dirty and the little girl has already got a nasty rash which they feel is due to the dirty carpets. Your help would be greatly appreciated.
