Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.

K is in temporary accommodation and struggling financially waiting on Universal Credit to be sorted. They experienced a period of homelessness before the family were placed in their new property. K has very limited furniture and has no storage for their clothes in the bedrooms so they are using boxes at moment. There are carpets but they need regular cleaning and a sweeping brush is not working. K is worried if the carpets get any worse the landlord may throw them out.
Still £130 left to donate
Total needed £200K, a single mum who is waiting for her benefits to be processed, is in financial debt and crisis. She needs a stairs and hall carpet, due to the neighbours complaining about the constant banging up and down stairs, which is making life extremely hard. It is too cold to play outside and not really safe due to the amount of cars. Others are not able to help K as they are struggling too.
Still £115 left to donate
Total needed £200S is a single mom who had to leave her house because of domestic violence, moved to temporary housing and lost her all belongings. Universal credit sanctioned her because of missed appointments. We are trying to support mom with all issues she is struggling with, but she needs to pay electric and gas bills from the previous property she was living. Because of S's situation, her mental health is really bad. Could I please request our generous donors to help this lovely lady? Thanks in advance.
Still £185 left to donate
Total needed £200W is a European Union citizen who is having problems getting his settled status agreed and, as a result, is being refused benefits. Now, at the age of fifty eight, he is not able to find work to support himself and his wife. They have lived in the UK since 2006 and consider it their home. W's phone has broken and he needs to be able to communicate with the solicitor who is working on his appeal, as well as with the advisors helping him with financial and housing problems. He would be very grateful for any help.
Still £75 left to donate
Total needed £75R was made redundant from his job a year ago and, at the same time, his dear wife was diagnosed with terminal cancer. She has recently died, leaving him bereft. R is struggling financially as his wife was the main earner. Our food bank is helping him out, but a donation for supermarket vouchers will allow him to use his existing funds to help pay towards the funeral arrangements, and tide him over until his benefit application is processed.
