£0 remaining for emergency accommodation
P fled domestic abuse in the South of England and arrived in Blackpool this week. His partner had attempted to empty his bank account, which has now been frozen by the police. Without a bank account, and having recently travelled to Blackpool, P is unable to access housing, so has been forced to sleep rough. We would like to house him for six days, by which time his new bank account will be in place and his Universal Credit payment will arrive, enabling him to organise housing for himself.
Safe Families are supporting a newly blended family who have had to adjust really quickly to sudden changes as they have become a family of ten. The family are living in a three bedroom property and the youngest child, aged two, is sharing a bed. The family are struggling financially and we would like to support them by providing the youngest child with a new toddler bed, mattress and bedding. Please could you help? Thank you so much.
Dad is a single parent looking after his four children. Safe Families are working alongside dad to complete general maintenance around the home and improve the conditions. The family, who are struggling financially, would really benefit from a replacement fridge freezer, as the current one is spilling water out at the bottom and leaking all over the kitchen floor. The freezer door is icing over and sticking shut so the family are unable to access their food. Please could you help?
