Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.
L is a single parent and full-time carer for her two sons who have special needs. She receives benefits and uses a food pantry to eke out the little money she has. L's television has broken and cannot be repaired, and she cannot afford to replace it. This is a major necessity in helping mum to look after her two boys.
Still £105 left to donate
Total needed £150J, who lives alone and has severe mental health problems which prevent her from working, has carers who call in and help her, but she is not proficient in looking after her money or her house. She has a number of appliances that have broken and not been replaced. J's carers feel that she really needs to replace her fridge freezer, which would save her the money she is presently spending on ready meals and take-aways, and also help her have a more healthy diet. However, J has not got the money to replace the appliance.
Still £135 left to donate
Total needed £155E is a single mother who is working hard to meet the needs of her three children, but doing this alone is a challenge at times. Her oven has broken and, in the build up to Christmas, the family of four are living on microwave meals. It would be such a blessing if we could help towards the cost of a new one. E has offered to pay towards this, but being able to help her out with this would be fantastic.
Still £180 left to donate
Total needed £200N is working hard to care for her twelve year old daughter who has multiple complex disabilities. Part of this is sorting and organising her medical supplies which, at the moment, are kept on a chair or in a cardboard box. These storage solutions would really help N to keep them secure and neat, especially with her inquisitive four year old son wanting to get into everything. Your donation would be such a blessing!
