Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.
D suffers will ill health from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and degenerative disc disease. Her husband cannot work, as he is her full-time carer, so the couple are on benefits and struggling to make ends meet. They have been making use of our community pantry for emergency food parcels. Their fridge freezer recently broke and they can't afford to replace it so D is currently keeping her medication, which must be kept refrigerated, in her neighbour's fridge. Please can you help us get them a replacement?
Still £200 left to donate
Total needed £200C is a single mum of two children who is on Universal Credit and cannot work because she home schools her daughter, who is on disability allowance. C's washing machine recently broke and she can't afford to replace it so she is currently having to take her and her children's laundry to her sister's to wash, a thirty minute journey away. Please can you help C get a new washing machine?
Still £200 left to donate

Still £200 left to donate
Total needed £200K has a problem with severe mould in her flat, which has affected her health and her bed, and she is currently sleeping on the sofa. She receives Universal Credit and Personal Independence Payment, but a very low amount which barely covers costs. K has a number of health conditions including a knee injury, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and anxiety. The council is currently working on the mould condition in the flat and we are requesting £200 for a new bed for when the mould condition is sorted. Thank you for your help.
