Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.

This woman, who is a long-time user of our services, due to severe physical and mental health challenges, recently moved into a flat with no furniture or essentials, except a fridge. The lack of basic items is worsening her mental health. We recently secured a washing machine for her, but she still urgently needs a sofa, wardrobe and small drawer. Your assistance would greatly improve this woman's living conditions and wellbeing, providing much needed stability and comfort in her new home.

She desperately needs somewhere to store her belongings until she has been housed by the council. Members of D's church community have offered to store her belongings, but she has no way of moving her belongings herself. Total needed £200C, a single man who is currently living in a hostel and struggling with mental health issues, has been unemployed for some time. He is on benefits, but this does not cover his hostel costs. C has limited money to live on and is not able to pay his debts. He desperately wants to clear his debts and get his life back in order. If Acts 435 could fund a smartphone so that C could receive emails, it would make a real difference to his ability to get his life back in order.

Total needed £100M and her husband are asylum seekers living in temporary accommodation with their two children. M has carpal tunnel syndrome so preparing food for the family is difficult and there is no suitable equipment in their hotel. A food mixer, rice cooker and microwave would allow them to eat nutritious food. They have been moved several times and need to travel to the children's school to provide continuity so topping-up their Oyster card will help. Lastly, having warm coats would help them stay well in the winter. Any help would be appreciated.

Total needed £150J is a single mum with many health issues who receives Employment and Support Allowance and is currently applying for Personal Independence Payment. Mum lost a baby through a cot death a few years ago and has since suffered with depression. As a result, she has found it really difficult to make her house a home and, especially, as she has no carpets in her lounge and sitting room. We have managed to secure some large mats for J, to keep her home warmish, but any donations would mean we could arrange for these two rooms to be carpeted and homely.
