Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.
My client, who recently lost the use of his legs, would like help in purchasing a disability chair, as he is unable to afford one, having purchased an electric wheelchair. He currently lives in a bungalow that houses a really low sofa that he is unable to use. All help will be greatly appreciated to help make this gentleman's living conditions better than he has now.
Still £150 left to donate
Total needed £160This young man is twenty three years of age. His partner left, leaving him a three and a one year old to care for, and he is struggling with debt. He has a house, but there is only a cooker and fraying carpets. If dad had a fridge freezer he could keep food fresh and make wholesome meals for the family, perhaps doing batch cooking. This young man went for a job interview, but needed to start at 8am so had to refuse because his daughter does not go to nursery until 9am. Please can you help this family?
Still £170 left to donate
Total needed £170This family are asylum seekers from Afghanistan who arrived in Newcastle yesterday. They have some limited furniture and beds, but no toaster and, crucially, no television for the children to watch. Their carpets are very dirty and the little girl has already got a nasty rash which they feel is due to the dirty carpets. Your help would be greatly appreciated.
Still £200 left to donate
Total needed £200A mother of four young children age 1 to 9 years is in urgent need of a washing machine. The family joined her student husband some months ago and house shared with her sister. They have just rented an unfurnished terraced house and need white goods and furniture. A washing machine is a priority as she is having to wash clothing by hand, the laundrette being some distance away and expensive. Life is hard as they set up home, but they are incredibly grateful for the help offered.
