Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.

R, who has fled domestic violence and is under police protection, is in need of warm clothing as her ex-partner destroyed them so she could not go out. R is small so will share the older children’s clothes. All five children are in need and R, who has no relatives or friends to help, has no benefits until her visa is processed. Some charities have helped with food and a few clothes, but the children have no boots for wet, cold weather and are sharing shoes and clothes.

Total needed £100I am applying for funding for a washing machine for a lady that has fled her house, due to domestic abuse. My client is currently in temporary accommodation, as it is unsafe for her to return. She has no washing machine and is in a remote location where there are no launderettes in the vicinity. This lady is suffering from mental health issues, due to her experiences of domestic abuse. A washing machine would enable her to wash her clothes and make her life easier. Thank you for considering

She struggles to leave the house some days, and is on anti-sickness tablets daily to help with her extreme vertigo. Total needed £200M is a single mother who is being rehoused, due to her ex-partner stalking and harassing her and her nine year old son. They are being placed in another town in an unfurnished flat. Although M can bring some furniture and appliances with her, the flat has no carpets at all and, as she is on benefits, she cannot afford any floor coverings. With your generosity, we would love to be able to afford to buy and install a carpet for her son's room.

Total needed £200K came out of an abusive relationship which then made her homeless and she had to leave her children behind. She now has a home, is seeing her children and has worked with us for the past ten months to rebuild her confidence and prepare herself for work. K has completed some work experience which went amazingly, and is now ready for interviews, but unfortunately has a lack of funds for this. K needs tops, trousers, shoes and a coat for those wet days, so these funds would help a great deal.

Total needed £160T is a single mum with three children, one of whom has autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and left the bath running by accident, flooding the house. The family had gone out for the day and the taps were running for over twelve hours. The flooring on the stairs, in the lounge and kitchen has been ruined. T doesn't have insurance and her landlord won't pay as it was entirely her fault. Her only income is Universal Credit and she has no savings, so has no hope of replacing the carpets. Any help Acts 435 can offer will be gratefully received.
