Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.
The single mother of two was referred by her local Social Services after she was found to be living in a house of multiple occupancy with her children. Due to the poor living conditions and overcrowding, Social Services has been desperately looking for ongoing accommodation. In the meantime; however, the client is currently sharing one room with her two school age children, sleeping on the floor. Mum has no recourse to public funds and is struggling to find employment. This support would provide beds for the family.
Still £200 left to donate
Total needed £200A is one part of our asylum seeker community here in Lancaster, accessing regular English classes and other support offers. He is keen to make England his new home and wants to become fluent in his English. Doing homework and accessing important information and learning opportunities online on an old phone is really challenging, and we want to help him to get his own second-hand laptop. Thank you so much for helping A to get his own device and making his learning journey so much easier!
