Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.
N, a young, single mum with very limited finances, is living with her mother and has applied for a flat of her own to rent. Her wage is low and she has a young teenage daughter, so Christmas is an added drain on her resources and she can't afford the bill to have this orthodontic device repaired until next year. The tooth retainer is coming away, causing constant mouth discomfort and danger that teeth can become loose, or even be lost altogether. An early repair will save a lot of pain and worry.

Total needed £190Our client is being supported by the Community Mental Health Early Intervention team after an episode of psychosis. He is socially isolated and struggling financially, due to being in debt with several organisations, as a result of his mental health struggles. Exacerbating his problems is a lack of white goods meaning that he can't shop or cook affordably or healthily. Your support to purchase a cooker would remove one worry, and improve A's diet, helping him with his mental health recovery.
Still £200 left to donate
Total needed £200J suffers with her mental health and was hospitalised for a few months. When she came out of hospital, she was faced with a number of debts, as well as the struggle of managing her ongoing bills. J has been working with Christians Against Poverty to balance her budget, but has no means of paying her accumulated debts. A Debt Relief Order is essential to give her a fresh start, and J would greatly appreciate a kind donation for the fee.

Total needed £90K is being supported by the Community Mental Health team. He is socially isolated, due to an increased level of paranoia and anxiety, and has seen a decline in his physical health, due to a lack of exercise. After some recent visits which have been more positive, K has agreed to engage with a year-long social exercise programme which will help address both needs. However, he has limited access to funds, so can't afford to pay for this himself. Your support would help his confidence and health.
