Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.
A is an unemployed prison leaver who we are helping to find work. He is very employable and keen to work, but online coverage of his serious offence makes it difficult to secure and keep a job, when people google him. We have agreed that the best way forward is for A to change his name. After changing his name via deed poll, he needs a passport in his new name in order to be able to leave his old name behind and move forward. Due to being unemployed, A is unable to afford this himself. Please could you help?

Total needed £90C has recently been released from prison and is in the process of setting up his own patios/driveways/landscaping business. He worked hard in prison to complete as many courses as possible. C is starting small, due to having no money behind him, and very few tools. We would like to support him in this endeavour by purchasing a second-hand lawnmower, strimmer, hedge-trimmer, hand tools and a hose.

Total needed £200After fleeing Iran, M and his family need support to purchase a washing machine as they settle into a new area with limited finances. The couple have two small children and are eager to establish normalcy in their new home. Any contribution would positively impact their lives, providing an essential household item and fostering hope and belonging in their community. Your generosity can help ease their transition and show them they are not alone. Thank you for considering helping this family in need.

Total needed £200Please can you help this young man, who has been homeless and is now in rented accommodation supported by the Humankind charity. His only income is Universal Credit. He has managed to get most household essentials but still needs a cooker. He is keen on cooking and using fresh food rather than tinned and instant foods. He is really making an effort to get his life back on track and having a cooker would be a great further encouragement. Thank you.

Total needed £150We are supporting X who has fled Sudan and is very keen to improve his English. He has done well to get on a twice weekly course at the local college which is ten miles away. The college will not fund transport, and bus fares are beyond X's very limited means. He can only take the course if he has money for travel. This money will enable us to put the necessary bus tickets onto his app. It would be lovely if X could take the course, which he is very keen to do, in order to increase his confidence and future job prospects

Total needed £95We are supporting J with finding work after leaving prison. He has six years experience in delivery driving and we both feel it is his best option for getting back into work, and to continue to keep him on the straight and narrow. Having recently left prison, J is struggling to afford the basics and can't afford to apply for his licence back. Please could you help?
