Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.
A and her husband are asylum seekers from Afghanistan who arrived in the UK one week ago with their children, aged eight and three. They are Sikh and their lives were threatened unless they converted to Islam. A and her family have very few possessions and are in urgent need of clothes and shoes for the whole family, as well as underwear and sleepwear. We would like to buy four pairs of shoes, four pairs of trousers, four tops, four packets of underwear and two sets of children's pyjamas.
Still £150 left to donate
Total needed £200This family, who have fled Afghanistan, have limited resources and their only income is Universal Credit. They are in desperate need of a double buggy for their seven month old twins. They are finding getting out difficult with four children in total, which is just adding to their isolation. Please can you help?
Still £160 left to donate
Total needed £160This very vulnerable woman, who we have been journeying with, has recently escaped domestic violence and moved to a new home. She has no flooring in her flat and needs a living room carpet which would really help to make it feel more like a home. We have been working with this lady to furnish her living room and the carpet would make it feel much warmer. Please could you help this single mummy and her two girls?
