Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.

J is an asylum seeker who has been with us in Lancaster for a few months. He is very keen to use the time while he is waiting to receive leave to remain, and he is accessing all courses that are available to improve his English. Without a tablet, it is very challenging for him to do the home work and access any further learning and resources. Thank you so much for helping him to get his own tablet.
Still £110 left to donate
Total needed £120D is an asylum seeker who has fled her homeland, due to abuse. She is struggling to buy herself food, personal products and warm winter clothing, and has no family to support her with essential items. D has a friend who lives in another town and does not see her very often. Support to buy a monthly bus pass over the Christmas period, to ensure she is not alone, will really help D with support to help her deal with the trauma she has experienced.

Total needed £190K is an asylum seeker from Iran who has been with us in Lancaster for a while. He is very active in our English classes and soon wants to join a college course. It is very hard for K to do all the homework and access online information without any device, apart from an old phone. He would be so grateful for a tablet of his own. Thank you so much for helping him with this.

Total needed £130F and her family are refugees who have been given a house after spending time in a hotel and bed and breakfast accommodation, and living out of a suitcase. They have no family to help and are in need of a washing machine so they can keep clean. F has been relying on charity shops and church to give them clothes, as she has nowhere to wash them. They are on a low income and waiting for benefits to be sorted. Please can you help?
