Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.

M and her children were living with her family, but fled their home, due to familial conflict and honour-based abuse. They were staying in temporary accommodation, but have now secured more permanent housing. They don't have a washing machine, which means keeping their clothing and bedding clean, and involves regular time-consuming and costly trips to the launderette. M is already struggling financially, as the sole carer for her children, and living independently for the first time.
Still £200 left to donate
Total needed £200Our client has been without a gas oven for over a year, due to a gas leak. The family of four are living on a low income, due to them having caring responsibilities. This leaves their budget fully stretched and has meant that they have been unable to purchase a replacement. They have been solely using their microwave to cook any hot food, leaving them unable to batch cook meals, which will help to reduce their weekly grocery spend.

Total needed £200H, a man who is grieving the loss of his wife, is currently seeking a job, but built up multiple debts while he was unable to work. His only income is Universal Credit, from which deductions are taken to pay back some of his debts, leaving him with very little for gas and food. H would be very grateful for any help towards gas and food over the coming weeks as he looks for work. Thank you.
Still £140 left to donate
Total needed £140E, a single mum of three children, works full-time and receives some Universal Credit to top-up her wages. Mum needs a car to do her job, as she works in the community supporting vulnerable disabled people with their care needs. Her car has failed its MOT and will cost £395 to repair. E has no savings, but another charity is offering to help with some of the repair costs. If mum doesn't keep her car on the road, she will lose her job, which will be devastating for her family. Any help would be amazing!
