Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.

This elderly asylum seeker, who has been in the UK for nearly twenty years, needs assistance with a fresh asylum claim (following a refusal), secure housing and transport costs. He relies upon a family friend for temporary accommodation and has no recourse to public funds. This gentleman needs to contribute to the cost of a specific diet, due to diabetes, in order to maintain health and ensure ongoing relationships with the host. In his mid sixties, this support would provide some stability and reassurance in the short term.
Still £120 left to donate
Total needed £120S, a survivor of human trafficking and sexual exploitation, is a single mum of four children under the age of eight. Her mental health is really poor at the moment, and her fridge freezer has broken down, just as she has migrated from her old benefits to Universal Credit, meaning her income has reduced. S is unable to afford a new fridge freezer and is having to buy food every day for her children, in the absence of one, which is really difficult for her and financially unsustainable.
Still £200 left to donate
Total needed £200A is a gentleman with severe mental health issues including bipolar, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), schizophrenia and borderline personality disorder (BPD). He has been sectioned multiple times, but his aftercare has been somewhat lacking and he has amassed a large sum of debt, resulting in being evicted from his rented property. A has now been housed in supported accommodation and is receiving help from Citizens Advice Bureau to find the best debt solution and to apply for benefits, but this takes time. Please would you consider supporting A with a food voucher?
Still £115 left to donate
Total needed £120B suffers with mobility issues and is unfit for work. She receives Universal Credit but finds it hard to meet her living costs and has borrowed money which she is now struggling to repay. She has run out of money with 2 weeks to go till her next benefits payment. She has little food left and her gas is running on emergency credit which will soon be used up. Help towards food and energy costs to see her through this difficult time would be really appreciated.
