Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.
This young couple were made homeless about six months ago and have spent a number of months in bed and breakfast accommodation with their two young children. They have had a dreadful time and have been quite traumatised by the experience. The council have moved them into a house with a garden that needs a huge amount of work to make it safe. Our volunteers are doing the initial landscaping, but they need to buy two recycling bins and some gardening tools to enable them to keep on top of it. However, as they are surviving on benefits, they cannot afford these items,
Still £125 left to donate
Total needed £175K and her partner, who have one nursery-aged child, have had a very difficult year with lots of things going wrong at home which have created financial difficulties. K's partner has been made redundant so they cannot now afford to pay for the school dinners (free school meals are unavailable until the child starts reception) so the child cannot attend school for a full day. £125 would pay for meals for the whole of the spring term and enable the child to have a full nursery education. Thank you!
