Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.
R is a single lady who was in an abusive relationship for years and recently escaped with only the clothes she was wearing. She was rough sleeping initially, but now has been allocated a small room in a communal house. R has no furniture and her room is too small for a single bed so she has been sleeping on the floor for a few weeks. She would really appreciate a single futon to sit and sleep on, as well as some bedding. R has not yet received any benefits and has no savings, so has no money.
Still £150 left to donate
Total needed £150A is a single parent who is in poor health, is dependent on benefits and has no savings or family support. He is the sole carer of his children, due to him ending the relationship with mother of the children when he suffered much abuse at her hands, severely affecting his mental health. A manages well on his limited budget, but is in desperate need of a new double bed, mattress and bedding so that he can sleep well and not aggravate his health issues. However, he is not able to afford an appropriate one. Any help is much appreciated.
