£0 remaining for a carpet and curtains
This young, single mum suffers with long term health issues and became homeless, with her young child. They have been sofa surfing for many months and have now been given a home, but have nothing to furnish it. Mum is unable to work, due to health reasons, and there is no spare money. We have managed to access some white goods, but she is in need of a carpet and curtains for the lounge. Please can you help give this family a new start? They are very grateful for any help you can offer. Thank you!
R, a single mum of two children, has fled an abusive relationship. She has multiple disabilities, alongside post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and depression. After a period in a women's refuge, R has now been supported into a new home. Her only income is Universal Credit and she has no savings as she has spent what she had on furnishings and white goods for her house. Floor coverings would turn R's house into a home, help her mental health and give her the fresh start she is desperate for.
This young adult in a Ukrainian refugee family asks for help with £200 to purchase a refurbished washing machine as the previously donated one has stopped working and is beyond repair. The family are studying English and, as they are using their limited benefits to cover other costs, have no savings, having left all their belongings in Ukraine. Please can you help them to avoid the everyday stress and high cost of managing without and continuing to work towards employment and integration into UK life?
A is a refugee who is suffering with his mental health, due to isolation and hardships he experienced during the asylum period. He received refugee status recently and has now moved into private rented accommodation. A is currently receiving Universal Credit and so has very limited funds. He is unable to make himself food, as he does not have a cooker and would greatly appreciate your generosity in enabling him to have the funds to buy himself one so he can make some homecooked meals.
