£0 remaining for a washing machine
This mum of four has been moved into a safe area after spending some time in a women's Refuge. Her children are aged between one and eight years old. One of the children is disabled and creates a lot of laundry. During the hot weather, mum has been washing by hand and drying outdoors. This will prove more difficult as the weather gets cooler, so a washing machine will be very important for her.
This young adult in a Ukrainian refugee family asks for help with £200 to purchase a refurbished washing machine as the previously donated one has stopped working and is beyond repair. The family are studying English and, as they are using their limited benefits to cover other costs, have no savings, having left all their belongings in Ukraine. Please can you help them to avoid the everyday stress and high cost of managing without and continuing to work towards employment and integration into UK life?
H is single and trying to live independently, but with autistic and mental health issues. He is grossly overweight and binge eating on unhealthy meals. A care package is being sought. H seeks a tall fridge freezer so meals can be provided by carers and stored safely, to bring some order to his life. This will encourage him to eat healthily, to lose weight and manage more by himself. Support for H would be another step towards changing his circumstances, and greatly appreciated.
D went debt free, through our Christians Against Poverty debt centre, a few years ago. He has been managing really well on a low income since then. D is now in need of a new lightweight upright vacuum cleaner, as he has limited mobility and needs one he can operate well. His income doesn't allow him to save and D would greatly appreciate it if you are able to help him buy a new hoover without him falling back into debt?
