£0 remaining for curtains and poles for five rooms
K and S had to close their business down not long after the second lockdown happened. Since then, S has had a stroke and their health has deteriorated through having to cope with debts from the business and personal debts to keep them afloat. They have no curtains or poles in at least five rooms and the windows are old wooden ones which do not keep the heat in. They are living in a couple of rooms and, when not working, they stay in bed with hot water bottles for heat.
L, who has adjustment disorder, anxiety and depression and struggled to lose weight, is a single working parent relying on top ups from Universal Credit. L is trying to create a better mindset, improve their health and wellbeing, and create a better environment and example for her child to grow up in. L is accessing support for her mental health, has had a six month trial (donated by Acts 435) at the community gym which was massively beneficial for her wellbeing and health. L would be so grateful to be able to continue this.
This lady suffers with anxiety and depression and has been poorly with pneumonia, a result of living in a very damp home. She has been moved to a new home, but has used all her money to purchase pre-loved furniture and white goods, due to everything she owned being fusty. This lady is sleeping on a very old mattress with springs poking through. She is on Universal Credit and Employment and Support Allowance, as she cannot work, due to poor health. Please can you help this lady? Thank you
O and her fifteen year old daughter moved to the UK from the Ukraine when it became unsafe to stay. Her husband and other family have remained in the Ukraine. Mum and her daughter were first housed through the Homes for Ukraine Scheme, but moved into their own unfurnished, rented flat, two months ago. O works as a cleaner, and is also receiving Universal Credit, but money is tight. She would be really grateful for a vacuum cleaner to keep the flat tidy.
