£0 remaining for child contact visits
R is going through the court process to gain access to his children. He has paid his legal fees to support this so far, including contact centre fees for six visits. The mental strain of his case has taken its toll, he has now lost his job, due to stress, and was recently diagnosed with post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). R has been told that he has to pay £75 per visit to see his children and, to maintain contact, he needs financial support.
T is struggling financially and physically. Unfortunately, when delivering her son, the epidural went wrong six times so she now has a lot of back pain. T does not know if she can go back to work part-time after maternity leave, as it's too excruciating to stand for lengths of time. She is having trouble lifting a stroller that was gifted to her, as it is heavy and her physio has recommended getting a lightweight stroller. All the second-hand strollers that have been seen are all heavy or the wheels are bowed. T's son is also desperately in need of a cot, as he has outgrown the Moses basket earlier than expected.
N, a teenage mum-to-be with a baby due in October, is currently living with her parents and siblings, but will be living independently in supported accommodation once the baby is born. The father of the baby has absconded so N has only her family's support, but they are on low wages and are struggling financially so cannot purchase essential items for the baby. N currently has no income, due to her age, and is desperate to get a travel system for the baby so that she is not isolated at home.
M and her partner, who have an eight month old daughter, are both at university. Their child still sleeps in a crib, which is now too small, and she often tries to climb out of it. She could sleep in a travel cot for safety, but this can only be short term. This child desperately needs a cot and mattress. Her bedroom is near the stairs and, as she is now crawling, stairgates at the top and bottom are essential to keep her safe. Mum and dad work part-time and, therefore, have no spare money to buy these items. Thank you.
