£0 remaining for a fridge freezer and a settee
T has had her property broken into and the front door and some furniture have been damaged. Her fridge freezer is broken and she also needs a new settee. However, due to having to pay for repairs to her home, so she can feel safe and more comfortable, T does not have spare funds to purchase these. She is struggling with her mental health and is receiving support for this. T would appreciate any help with this.
D, a single mum who is in recovery from addiction, is doing an amazing job at changing her and her daughter's situation since her daughter recently came back into her care. Mum is attending day rehabilitation, dealing with her debts and attending a budgeting course. She has recently moved into a new flat with her daughter, but she is sleeping on the sofa so that her daughter can have the bed. A new bed would enable D to rest better and to continue to make the positive changes she is already making in her life.
L, who is thirty one years old, is a single mum to three young children. We are supporting her with debt advice and at our appointment, she has told me her oven is broken and has been for some time. L was so upset telling me she has only been doing the children microwave meals and sandwiches. She knows this is not healthy for the children, but has no other option. L works two days a week, as she feels she wants the children to understand the importance of working, but sadly, has no money left for a cooker.
J, who is fifty five years old, is a full-time carer to his grown up daughter, who is severely disabled, and he is totally devoted to her. He only receives benefits for himself and disability benefits for his daughter. His daughter's bed has broken beyond repair and the mattress is heavily stained. J's daughter has been sleeping in a chair and dad is at a loss as to how he can replace her bed. This family have nobody to help them and are in desperate need. Please could you help with a new bed that is a safer place for T to sleep?
